An Outstanding Store Manager!

An Outstanding Store Manager!

The Kledzik team from Illinois would like to introduce you to one of their top performers: Stephanie Adkins

Stephanie started in Crystal Lake, IL as a stylist 5 years ago. She then moved up to an assistant manager.  She then was a sub manager of our Cary location.  She did such an amazing job there we decided to give her a store of her own! That store was Elgin, which she managed for about 9 months and was able to grow it in just a short time. Our Algonquin location became available and it was closer to her home so we offered for her to transfer there. She accepted and has been killing it ever since! She has grown that store in double digits since she took over, which is not easy for a mature store like Algonquin. She runs her store like a well-oiled machine. She is fair, honest, hard working and does whatever needs to be done! We are so proud of her and appreciate her so much!

We asked Stephanie Adkins what she does to be successful with SportClips:

“I have to give a lot of the credit to my amazing staff. They come in every day and give 100%!  They have smiles on their faces and have a great time with their coworkers. It makes for a fun work environment. Even though we are a very fast-paced salon we still take the time with our clients to make sure they feel welcomed and valued. So that makes sure that they come back month to month. We are a larger town so there is always a sports game going on or a fundraiser to attend to get our name out there and market. Being at our location for 15 years we still get over 60 new clients a week! I believe it all stems back to a happy staff to make a successful shop work. When your staff is happy the clients are happy and the money starts flowing!”

Stephanie’s ideas on Motivation:

  • I am always here to listen; not here to judge.
  • Come in, work hard and you will make money.
  • Laughter is better than silence.
  • Everyone has bad days, but as a team we try to make a bad day a good one!
  • Try and stay positive. (Have to tell myself that all the time still)
  • Each day is a new day to grow!

Thank you, Stephanie, for all you do so well!
