Hurricane Harvey Hits Home

Hurricane Harvey SportClips

Published by Pinnacle at August 26, 2017

Hurricane Harvey lashed the Houston area with heavy winds and up to 50 inches of rain. Several Sport Clips stores were closed temporarily due to flooding or power outages. In talking with Team Leaders, we have heard stories of dozens of stylists who are facing hardships because of the storm. Team Members had homes flooded, others had flood damage totaling their vehicles, and some have lost almost all their personal belongings. Some have evacuated the area and are hoping to return soon. Here are a few images sent to us:

Pinnacle has reached out to provide assistance and support. To help Team Leaders and Stylists, Pinnacle collaborated closely with FedEx to track and deliver paychecks, sometimes re-routing packages to other locations. Although most stylists are getting paid electronically, we have some situations where we paid by wire transfer or arranged for special payrolls at the request of Team Leaders. We also lead a collection drive in our building for Hurricane Harvey relief, and directly assisted a few clients.
Sport Clips has a GoFundMe page that has raised over $125,000 for assistance to Sport Clips stylists. Pinnacle is helping distribute the money to stylists at the request of Team Leaders. For all affected, we hope for a quick recovery and will continue to stand alongside our clients during these difficult times.
