July 17, 2018Open Enrollment is that time of year when employees can sign up for or change the benefits they receive. Want to elect dental coverage or add dependents to your existing coverage? You can do that during Open Enrollment. Pinnacle’s goal is to ensure that you can easily renew and change your benefit elections. With that in mind, you can make your elections for Open Enrollment by clicking this link.
Offering employee benefits is a great tool for recruiting and retaining your stylists. Pinnacle has a menu of voluntary benefit options available. These options include: dental plans, life insurance, vision coverage, a limited health plan, and short-term disability. Full-time team members (averaging 30 hours per week) have access to all these benefits! Pinnacle provides the benefits administration, which takes care of communication on benefit options, negotiating pricing with insurance carriers, providing marketing materials & enrollment forms, setting up pre-tax benefit deductions from payroll checks, collecting the premiums, paying the carriers and so forth.
Some other advantages include:
- The prices are already negotiated by Pinnacle and are the same nationally.
- Pinnacle splits the premium into two payroll deductions per month, and takes deductions before taxes under a Section 125 plan to save stylists from paying taxes on their entire paycheck.
- Coverage is available without providing health histories or having to obtain a physical exam.
- There is no minimum number of employees who must enroll. If one stylist wants any one of the benefits, that’s fine with us!
Pinnacle’s Annual Benefits Open Enrollment period for the Supplemental Benefits will occur July 2 – July 24, 2018, with the coverage taking effect on August 1, 2018.
Pinnacle routinely puts flyers into the FedEx envelopes when paychecks are sent out in July. These flyers are reminders that it is open enrollment time! We encourage you to share this information with your team members so all eligible stylists can have a chance to enroll.
Offering major medical health insurance is a more complex process and, of course, is much more expensive to the Team Leader and the stylist. July is not open enrollment for health insurance. Consult your Team Leader or your Pinnacle account rep, Ron Rice (at (512) 431-7620) to inquire about group health insurance.

Call us at (210) 344-2088 and we can help answer questions and help you complete your enrollment forms. Remember that current enrollees automatically rollover their same benefits unless you cancel or change coverage by July 24th.
